About Us

We are Oxford Korean Academic Society (OKAS), an academic society affiliated to Oxford University Korea Society, that is voluntarily led by Korean students studying at the University of Oxford. With the purpose of fostering open communication among Korean students and scholars from various disciplines, we organise monthly seminars on Humanities, Social Sciences, Medicine, and STEM. Since its foundation in November 2016, we have successfully held 62 monthly seminars and two large-scale Oxford-Korea Forum in 2019 and 2021. With Oxford Korean postgraduates and prominent Korean visiting scholars as invited speakers, OKAS has consistently provided opportunities to gather intelligences and discuss compelling issues regarding Korea.  ​
